Accounting Principles

 

The course assumes the student has no prior knowledge of accounting or bookkeeping. It covers the roles and function of accounting and introduces the student to the principles of double entry accounting based upon accounting ethics. Students will practice double entry accounting. They will prepare and examine the financial statements used in financial reporting, the accounting cycle and the inter relationships between the financial statements. Upon completion the student will be competent as a bookkeeper.
